REVIEW: A Machine as Complex as the World Itself—Bergen Assembly 2028
Bergen Assembly’s 2028 journey begins this September with A Machine as Complex as the World Itself, a two‑day gathering that reframes technology as an ancient, interspecies practice of world‑making. Convened by Lucia Pietroiusti and Filipa Ramos, it brings together artists, scientists, musicians, storytellers, and local communities to explore how worlds are sensed, mapped, remembered, and transformed—drawing on Bergen’s rich histories of weather, knowledge, and cosmology to set the first coordinates for the Assembly ahead.
